Oh dear. "Return of the Scarlett Empress" is coming out Dec 1st, and I've not pre-ordered it.

Its been a long time since I've actually posted anything serious here. I guess its mainly because I've been so busy with work as of late. I actually worked 10-12 hour days three times last week, which is a first for me. I'm still a temp- which isn't so bad but I'm beginning to feel I should be hired on as a permanent if this is going to keep up. Honestly, it could be worse and right now I have the money I need. So I'll stick with it for the time being. Maybe save up a bit of money again before letting my inherent boldness take over. :P

My current state of mind is one of calm, oddly enough. In spite of all the business going on, I've actually taken on a stance of extreme lucidity, taking opportunities as the come and doing what I can. Its not a bad time in my life, just one of extremes, and I feel its best to be prepared.

As far as Recreation goes, its the same old. Still running my games, been playing Way of the Samurai, etc. The Alchemical's Exalted book comes out soon, December 1st in fact, and I plan on sucking that up as soon as it comes out. I hope my Exalted group likes Infernal Robot Men.

Blah...maybe I'll post more again, but right now, I need to take a shower.

This morning was stressful.

But I had a delicious breakfast sandwhich. So its all good.

Man, its been a long time since I've posted here. Life has been...really busy.


Tonight is an odd night for me. To be truthful, I feel lonely.

I know its stupid. I am literally surrounded by people who care about me. I'm blessed with friends I don't really deserve. To say something like that really makes me feel selfish and petulant, but the truth is sometimes, I just do.

Sorry that the first post I make in a while is so maudlin. Back to fun stuff soon, I promise. I should be fine in the morning.

You know, I was gonna answer this, but everyone who reads this knows what I'm gonna say.

My saturday Hackmaster game had its first Casualty last night- Snapham, Halfing Cleric of the Bringer of Strife will be missed by the group, if only because he was the only one capable of healing magic.

His means of death were classic- Gelatinous Cube in a pit trap. The party managed to retrieve part of his hand and a bit of his skeleton for a proper burial.

Funny how dead people sum things up for me. I've tried to make this point lots of times, but I'm not nearly as eloquent.

Gaming has been fantastic this week. Exalted was a blast and a half, I think my players really enjoyed themselves in spite of it being just prologue stuff. I hope my first actual adventure goes just as well.

My Hackmaster group also had an immense amount of fun yesterday. This is probably the least heroic group of PC's I've ever had in a game, and we are totally running with it. I'm lucky to have to run two separate groups that are almost opposites, which keeps my mind sharp.

Here's to hoping next week goes just as well!

I'd go back to my teenage self, punch him in the gut and tell him to man up and stop bitching.

Also, I'd tell him Sarah is a twin. That'll clear a lot up.

In a completely unrelated note, Exalted and Hackmaster are easily two of my favorite rpgs ever.

Today...I'm tired. I disliked today. I didn't hate it, but I very much wanted it to be over.

Also, the swim trunks Mel helped me pick out are awesome! I tried them on today and they fit nice and comfy. They also have pockets! How sweet is that.

Its less sweet to be reminded you have love handles. Managed to forget those... Ah well. XD Time for more reps at the bench, and less takeout meals. ^_^;

Ok, so I've been wondering something- and I'm going to have two questions here. I'd love if everyone who read them answered at least one set. If you want too answer both that's fine, if you want to.

1) What about me makes me appealing as a friend? What about me makes me unappealing as one?

2) What about me makes me appealing as a romantic interest? What about me makes me unappealing as one?

I would prefer Anonymity here, for two reasons. One, it means people can be brutal- and two, it means preconceived notions I might have don't apply.

I know this is all a bit self-indulgent, but its something that really interests me. I won't twist anyone's arm (Not that I could, but hey...) but if you have a minute, please consider. :)

the only thing I miss about being a kid was being able to stay up all night and play D&D with my friends. Seriously, I don't know why people want to go back to that. As an adult, I have a car, a blackberry that I can post to this journal with, a huge collection of my own books, shit, all this is without mentioning sex, liqour or freedom!

Yeah yeah, care free yadda yadda. Kids are great, but I sure as hell don't want to be one again.

Anyway, hey internet people. I have neglected you.

Life's been busy. Just like anyone, its got its ups and its downs. I'm feeling a bit frustrated at the moment with a few things, but I can't complain beyond that.

A small bit of Introspective: In "The Ill-Made Knight" T.H White asserts that there are two kinds of "good" people. People who are naturally kind, caring and giving, and those that are naturally bad people who are trying very hard to be good.

The more I go through life, the more I find I am the latter.

Single again. Its kind of terrible to learn that sometimes, love really isn't enough to make a relationship work.

If I can let myself be a bit candid here, I'm really tired of making girls cry.

I'll be OK though. Figured if you're going to vent, you might as well do it on LJ.
